In this edition, I’m excited to share how Numenta was spotlighted at Intel’s AI Everywhere event, a special message from our CEO, and more.
A message from our CEO
As we move into 2024, I couldn’t be more excited for what we have in store this year! We launched our AI platform NuPIC just a couple of months ago, and we are already seeing customers reap the benefits of running LLMs on CPUs in a scalable, secure, and cost-effective way. We’ll see many more this coming year. Our focus for 2024 is threefold. First, we are committed to our customers. We’re actively working on new product features and new use cases that incorporate customer feedback. We are expanding our customer base across the globe. I look forward to bringing our AI solutions to even more businesses this year. Second, we are focused on our partners. We take pride in fostering strong partnerships that drive innovation and shape the future of AI. Last, but not least, we are investing in research. We are continuing to improve and extend the capabilities of our core neuroscience-based technologies. Since Numenta’s inception, we’ve been on a mission to advance AI through neuroscience. I’m excited that we’re delivering on that mission today, but remember that we’re just getting started. Our unique, neuroscience-based platform will transform AI across various industries. While I can’t share every detail just yet, we are working really hard to ensure that the next chapter is even more exciting than the last. Regards, |
Numenta featured at Intel’s AI Everywhere global launch event
Last month, Numenta was featured in Intel’s AI Everywhere launch event (Dec 14th) held in New York City. Led by Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger, the event served as the official announcement for Intel’s next generation of AI technology and two major product lines, including Intel Xeon CPUs.
Key highlights:
- Numenta is ushering in a new era for AI inference on Intel Xeon processors, making it not only possible but optimal to run LLMs on CPUs in a scalable, secure, high-performance environment.
- As the only company invited to present live, our customer Gallium Studios’ CEO and Co-Founder Lauren Elliot joined Intel EVP Sandra Rivera on stage to showcase how running Numenta’s AI platform NuPIC on Intel Xeons is helping them lower costs and accelerate LLMs in their new AI simulation game, Proxi.
- Lauren shared that running NuPIC on Xeon processors helped Gallium Studios improve inference performance by 5x over a GPU-based cloud instance, significantly saving cost and minimizing latency.
Short film: The future of AI is brain-based
In this recently released Intel AI video, our CEO Subutai Ahmad talks about how Numenta is advancing AI with our neuroscience discoveries today and shaping the future of AI.
The film highlights our Intel partnership and how we’re mapping our neuroscience-based advances to novel HW architectures to make AI systems far more efficient, sustainable, and powerful. Our customers and legendary game designers Will Wright (Sims, SimCity, Spore) and Lauren Elliott (Carmen Sandiego) also talk about how Numenta’s neuroscience approach to AI is helping them make gaming experiences more immersive, intelligent, and interactive than ever before.
Webinar Replay: Unleash your LLM Deployments with a Brain-Based Approach
Last month we presented at a webinar hosted by our partner Weights & Biases (W&B). We discussed the challenges companies are facing with generative AI and how Numenta’s brain-based approach to AI can help. We also gave an overview of our AI platform, NuPIC, and talked about how we’re collaborating with W&B to enable enterprises to easily deploy and scale large language models in a robust and efficient way.
Thank you for your continued interest in Numenta. We have many exciting activities planned for 2024. Follow us on LinkedIn to make sure you don’t miss any updates.
