Jeff Hawkins at the Johns Hopkins University APL Colloquium

This video is a recording of a talk Jeff Hawkins presented at the Johns Hopkins University APL Colloquium Series. The content is an earlier version of the keynote presentation Jeff gave at the Human Brain Project Summit on October 15, 2018. You can view the Human Brain Project keynote here.

The Johns Hopkins University APL Colloquium Series was the first time presenting our framework for intelligence and cortical computation, formally introduced in the paper, A Framework for Intelligence and Cortical Function Based on Grid Cells in the Neocortex. The talk was given as a trial run, before the paper was released, as we were figuring out how to present the materials. We shared it in the hopes that it may help people understand some of the details of the framework, but we recommend watching the Human Brain Project keynote screencast for more recent content.
